SEXY is the word for today.

i came across these super sexy but nothing too naughty La Man Perrier ads. la main perrier ad La Main Perrier : The World Sexiest Handla main perrier ad 1 La Main Perrier : The World Sexiest Handla main perrier ad 4 La Main Perrier : The World Sexiest Handla main perrier ad 5 La Main Perrier : The World Sexiest Hand

These Perrier ad campaigns (France) were modeled after the 1970 tv campaign, which was censored at the time.

Perrier also made very cool viral videos. Advertisers, and businesses nowadays have to think about a web presence more than ever.  Check them out here:

I really like these ads! so sexy and so fashion esque. so chic. nothing seems forced. it seems like its meant to be.  the art direction of it is beautiful and the character behind all of these ads have a strong presence. I think this campaign is graphically, photographically beautiful, and the art direction is successful. But it can be understandable that some people would argue against me, because there really isnt a conceptually striking big idea behind these.

but sexy, nonetheless.

Sexy #2:

ipad!

apple ipad tablet The New Apple iPad Tablet

Just the other day, Steve Jobs ( he went to my high school by the way, im from Silicon Valley in California. But he never donated anything to my school :( )officially announced the IPAD in San Francisco, California.

so sexy! but, kinda useless? i mean its innovative, and it is the most advanced piece of technology yet. It is thin, fast and has the potential to revolutionize all forms of print of today.

"yays"
- pretty affordable. starting at 500 bucks
- you can have internet access anywhere you go via AT&T (30 bucks a month for the data plan)
-10 hours of battery

'nays"
- doesn't support flash player, so no hulu and a lot of websites (esp fashion websites :( )
- no camera, so no video conference and stuff
- no multitasking capabilities (like manipulating window sizes on a regular laptop or a desktop)
- or sms apps yet.

BUT im sure that Apple did the nays on purpose so that they can have room for evolution, keeping the dedicated consumers on their toes.

This IPAD technology will open up a lot of jobs for designers. It gives us a new universe for creativity, but i am going to be so sad when everyone will have this device to read books, read newspapers and such. The intimate connection with the reader and books/newspapers/magazines will be lost. The musky smells from the libraries, and old books; the flipping of the pages in books and magazines, will be lost.

SO, its a gain, but also a loss.

Till next time,
Kristie
