Concepts

-My first concept is a political tug of war, revolving around the tension between contrasting political parties that are still tied to one another.

-Since the theme of politics is such a broad term, my second concept was to explore a visual representation of the most straight forward and important aspect of politics: checks and balances.

-My last concept is about the blending/melding of opposing views to resolve conflict.

  1. I like how you see it, sort of a 30, 000 foot view and trying to cook it down to simple essence. I'm not clear as to what I would see in number 3? Idea two I don't know if is all checks and balances? or even balanced, politics is biased and one sided, depending on what side you are on…? WHich is why I think idea 1 is so good. I like the long plate. I don't like it as as series of rope borders, one makes a better statement. There is a reference I will send you for a way you might get movement into this. I like that the rope coulees be in the middle on one, to the left on another, to the right, etc. Great!

  2. I like how the tug of war visual can carry between all the pieces while varying to keep it interesting, with twists and turns.
